Good soap

Over the last year one of the lovely ladies here at Pauanesia has been on the search for NZ made palm oil free soap. And the search is over! Made in Kaipara, Good Soaps meet all our requirements. Plus they smell delicious.

They are $13.50 each and at the moment are only available in store (or over the phone). We hope to have them online soon!

Worth the trip

The Auckland Festival of Photography starts today! There will be over 90 free photography exhibitions and events happening all over our wonderful city until the 21st of June.

Our window is blue! Because this month a very special friend to the Pauanesia team, Mary, turns 85 and the window is special homage to her because Mary loves blue!

We've also installed a 'All About Blue' section on our website for those out of town.

In flight

Our re-fashioned soft, stuffed Kereru have a rattle. They are safe for little ones, with the rattle fitted inside the birds belly. Made from salvaged textiles in New Zealand especially for us. See more shots of these guys here, online.

Worth the trip

Ping Pong in the city! For just two weeks they'll be 4 ‘ping pong’ tables in Aotea Square to engage Auckland residents and visitors in friendly competitive game play and spectating.

Each ‘ping pong’ table is uniquely modified through its design to ‘frustrate’ and surprise with play on the table. Vibration sensors and audio replay gear allow for the tables to react to players and then play-back programmed noises.

One off

We've finally updated the chaps in our 'one offs' section of our website. Pop on over and meet the gang by clicking here, they are a handsome bunch.

Our kiwis are made locally in NZ from vintage and salvaged fabrics. We source vintage wool blankets, wool jersey skirts and kaftans's and wool upholstery remnants for re-fashioning into our ever-changing Kiwi parade!
